The Corporate and Finance practice group of Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP represented client EGC Enterprises Inc., a Chardon, Ohio-based manufacturer of graphite-based sealing products, in its sale to CDI Energy Products LLC, headquartered in Humble, Texas. CDI Energy Products is a unit of the French multinational tire manufacturer Michelin Group (OTCMKTS: MGDDY).

The Calfee deal team included Firm Vice Chair Terrence F. (Terry) Doyle and Associate Attorney Adam Pretty.

EGC Enterprises was founded in 1978 and has approximately 100 employees in Chardon and Statesville, North Carolina. While the terms of the sale were not disclosed, the strategy is centered on the goal of expanding market share in high-growth industries, such as power generation, aerospace and defense, water treatment, and general industrial.
