Calfee Client Cablecraft Motion Controls Completes Purchase of Wholesale Distribution and Custom Manufacturing Service Businesses From Instrument Sales & Service 

Calfee client Cablecraft Motion Controls, a Torque Capital Group portfolio company, recently announced that it completed the purchase of the Wholesale Distribution and Custom Manufacturing Service businesses from Instrument Sales & Service (ISS). Based in Portland, Oregon, ISS is a leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of electronic, mechatronic, and electromechanical motion control products serving the heavy truck, recreational product, aftermarket automotive, construction, and agriculture industries.

Cablecraft is a market leader in the design and manufacture of proprietary or customized engineered motion control products, and this acquisition will enable Cablecraft to grow and diversify its broad portfolio of solutions to a variety of end markets. Torque Capital Group is a lower-middle market private equity firm investing in North American-based manufacturing, niche/enthusiast branded products, and supply chain service companies, with particular expertise in transportation markets.
