Calfee Congratulates Client Align Collaborate on Its Co-Investment with LP First Capital to Launch Rewind Restoration Platform and Acquire Icon Restoration

Calfee congratulates our client Align Collaborate on its recent announcement of a co-investment with LP First Capital (LPFC) to form Rewind Restoration, a residential restoration platform with the goal of building one of the largest residential restoration businesses in the U.S. Rewind delivers comprehensive fire, water and mold remediation services with a focus on residential customers. 

To launch the platform, Rewind completed its inaugural investment in Icon Restoration, a Rochester Hills, Michigan-based provider of comprehensive restoration services focused on residential customers. The partnership will support organic growth initiatives and strategic acquisitions, positioning Icon as the cornerstone of Rewind's broader regional and national expansion strategy.

Rewind is actively seeking to acquire residential restoration service companies; the Platform is targeting established residential fire, water and mold restoration services companies with strong reputations in their local markets as well as companies that specialize in specific service lines, including mitigation, contents cleaning and storage, and reconstruction.

Align Collaborate is an equity investor that exclusively invests in independent sponsor-led transactions or alongside lower-middle market sponsors closing a transaction pre-fund or while in between funds. Align Collaborate is an affiliate of Align Capital Partners (ACP), a lower-middle market private equity firm. Together with Align Collaborate, ACP manages $1.8 billion in committed capital with investment teams in Cleveland, Ohio and Dallas, Texas.
