Kyle has been involved in a variety of matters, including district court cases, ITC investigations, and inter partes review proceedings for both patent owners and challengers at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
In addition, he has counseled clients on managing risks, including freedom-to-operate analyses and opinions.
Kyle earned his J.D. at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, cum laude, where he served on the Managing Board of the Ohio State Law Journal as an Articles Editor. He was also a member of the Sports Law Moot Court Team and the Moot Court Governing Board.
Kyle received his B.S., cum laude, in Microbiology from The Ohio State University. He was a laboratory assistant for The Ohio Department of Health Zoonotic Disease Program and The Ohio State University Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute.
Prior to joining Calfee in 2017, Kyle worked as an associate at Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, D.C., where he focused primarily on pharmaceutical patent litigation.
