Blake S. Harves

Blake assists publicly traded and privately held companies, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies, in various corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, sales, business formation and development, corporate governance, and commercial contracting.

Prior to joining Calfee in 2026, Blake served as an Associate Attorney at a corporate law firm in Ohio. There, he drafted transactional documents for mid-market M&A and financing transactions, including purchase agreements, security agreements, promissory notes and ancillary closing documents. He also prepared client memoranda advising on key agreement terms and tax-efficient deal structuring considerations, as well as commercial agreements to support clients’ ongoing business operations.

Blake earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was on the Dean’s List for three semesters and served as Senior Editor of the Journal of Law, Technology, & the Internet.

During law school, Blake acted as a Judicial Extern for Judge Collier-Williams in the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
