Overview
Rachel is focused on counseling clients through the litigation process from pre-suit through trial or resolution, crafting innovative arguments and solutions to complex disputes on behalf of her clients.
Rachel has experience taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for trial. She has appeared in federal and state courts throughout Ohio and has successfully briefed and argued cases on appeal.
Prior to joining Calfee in 2024, Rachel worked as a litigation associate at a large national law firm.
Rachel earned her J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law, where she served as a managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and with the National Order of the Barristers. She also served on the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Team (national quarterfinalist and top 10 speaker) and received Cali Awards for Excellence in Property, Civil Procedure II, and Employment Law.
She earned her B.A. in Spanish with minors in Political Science and Environmental Studies, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of Wooster.
