Calfee Welcomes Labor and Employment Attorney Jennifer Colvin to Its Cincinnati Office

CINCINNATI, January 10, 2019 – Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP is pleased to announce that Jennifer W. Colvin has joined the firm’s Cincinnati office as Senior Counsel in its Labor and Employment practice group.

Colvin is an experienced attorney who represents a variety of clients in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, enforcement of restrictive covenants, and breach of contract in both state and federal courts as well as through binding arbitration. She has appeared before trial and appellate courts in numerous jurisdictions across the United States, including the Sixth and Ninth U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal. She also conducts workplace training and counsels employers on issues related to all facets of employment and personnel management, including termination, harassment, pre-employment procedures, disability accommodation and leave procedures, and compliance with state and federal fair credit statutes.

Prior to joining Calfee, Colvin served for nearly 10 years as an attorney with the Labor & Employment Group at another large law firm in Cincinnati. She also previously worked as the Assistant Corporate Secretary for The Midland Company / American Modern Insurance group. She was integrally involved in the $1.3 billion sale of the company to Munich Re Group. From 2003 to 2004, Colvin served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Harry Lee Hudspeth, Senior United States District Court Judge for the Western District of Texas.

Colvin has been selected for inclusion to Ohio Rising Stars (Super Lawyers), 2012-2018, and by Cincy Leading Lawyers, 2018. She earned her J.D. from the UCLA School of Law in 2003 and her B.S. from Cornell University in 2000. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio and California.
