Dustin earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2018 near the top of his class. While attending Cleveland-Marshall, Dustin served as Chief Managing Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review.
He was a member of the Cleveland State Student Intellectual Property Law Association and a student member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association (CIPLA). Dustin further served as a Legal Writing Tutor at Cleveland-Marshall, helping students understand the intricacies of legal writing, teaching them the proper use of the Bluebook, and conducting legal research for course assignments.
During law school, Dustin gained experience as a Law Clerk for a Cleveland-area intellectual property firm. He was responsible for creating and amending domestic and foreign patent, copyright, and trademark applications and assisting in preparation for IP litigation by collecting evidence, conducting document review, drafting cease and desist letters, and preparing settlement agreements.
Dustin earned his B.A. in Chemistry and History with a minor in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University in 2015. He joined Calfee in 2018.
