Overview
Emma has experience defending clients against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations, including class and collective actions. She has first and second chair arbitration experience and is adept at taking and defending depositions.
In addition to her litigation work, Emma counsels employers on compliance and risk management. She regularly drafts and updates employee handbooks and workplace policies, advises on separation agreements, and conducts management training on employment law topics such as workplace discrimination and harassment.
She also advises employers on traditional labor matters, including union avoidance strategies. She has successfully supported clients through union avoidance campaigns.
Emma earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from Cleveland State University College of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law and Health and competed on the Moot Court Team. She received her B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from John Carroll University.
