Announcement

Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP is pleased to announce that Ashley J. Earle and Cynthia A. (Cindy) Neal have joined the Intellectual Property practice group as associates in the firm's Cincinnati office.

"Calfee continues to grow our Cincinnati market presence, and we’re pleased to announce that two experienced, Cincinnati-based intellectual property attorneys recently joined the firm," said John A. Mongelluzzo, Partner-in-Charge of Calfee's Cincinnati office. "Cindy Neal and Ashley Earle, both formerly with the Cincinnati office of a national firm, bring years of patent, trademark, and copyright experience to Calfee’s already extensive IP group. In addition to traditional patent and trademark experience, Cindy also is experienced with import/export control matters, and Ashley is an experienced brand lawyer – skills that will be of great value to Calfee’s clients in Ohio and globally."

Ashley J. Earle has a broad range of experience in intellectual property law – including trademark, copyright, trade secret, design patent, utility patent, privacy, and licensing matters. She works to help clients protect their innovations and creations by securing and enforcing trademarks, copyrights, and patents, both domestically and abroad. She counsels clients from the fruition of an idea through to execution, implementation, protection, monetization, and enforcement.

Cynthia A. Neal's practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution. Her knowledge spans from mechanical devices and software to complex chemical processes and pharmaceutical formulations. Cindy has counseled a broad range of clients, from individual inventors and startups to Fortune 500 companies, on intellectual property matters, including reviewing disclosures, offering clearance and validity opinions, handling prior art searches, rendering infringement opinions and managing portfolios.

"We are proud to welcome Cindy Neal and Ashley Earle as the latest additions to our expanding Intellectual Property practice group," said Mark W. McDougall, Co-Chair of Calfee's Intellectual Property practice group. "Cindy and Ashley will be based out of our Cincinnati office and collectively bring years of experience to Calfee’s already extensive and considerably experienced IP group.”

“Both Cindy and Ashley are registered patent attorneys and will join an already deep bench of patent professionals that makes Calfee’s IP group one of the largest in the Midwest," said Billy C. Raulerson, Vice Chair of Calfee's Intellectual Property practice group.
