Steven Day Named Vice Chair of the Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts

Steven W. Day, Partner in Calfee’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits practice and part of the firm’s Entertainment, Media and the Arts practice group, has been elected as Vice Chair of the Greater Cleveland Chapter of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA). The VLA is a committee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and provides pro bono legal services to local artists and arts organizations. Steve regularly advises artists and arts organizations on formation and governance issues for tax-exempt organizations, compensation arrangements, services agreements and related matters. Through the VLA, Steve also frequently presents on art-related topics, such as non-profit formation, tax valuation of art works and collectibles, art transactions and general contract law.  Steve is a guest lecturer at the Cleveland Institute of Art and serves on the Board of Directors of the Encore Chamber Music Institute and the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society.
