Calfee Partner, Sean Suder, co-presented at two sessions at the American Planning Association National Planning (APA) Conference On May 8 in New York City. His first presentation, titled, “Deconstructing Zoning for Repopulation,” discussed how to reconstruct zoning so that it works to achieve repopulation and revitalization goals and regulate the necessities to promote public health, safety and welfare. The second presentation, “Small Town and Rural Planning Division Dinner: Let’s Talk Legal Issues,” explored the unique role of a small town or rural area planners and shared tips on how to address legal, ethical, and social equity issues resulting from small town environments. The premiere planning event of the year, the APA National Planning Conference offers hundreds of options for tours, advanced training, mobile workshops, special events, and opportunities to network with planners from across the country and around the world.
