Fritz E. Berckmueller to Join Board of the Federal Bar Association

Fritz E. Berckmueller, partner in Calfee’s Litigation practice group, will join the Board of the Northern District of Ohio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association this month. The Federal Bar Association represents the Federal legal profession. It consists of more than 18,000 federal lawyers, including 1,500 federal judges, who work together to promote the sound administration of justice and integrity, quality and independence of the judiciary. The FBA also provides opportunities for scholarship and for judges and lawyers to professionally and socially interact. Fritz has experience in securities and shareholder litigation, SEC enforcement matters, white collar criminal defense and internal corporate investigations. He regularly defends corporate clients, as well as their officers and directors, in complex securities fraud class actions and shareholder derivative actions. He has conducted internal investigations for both publicly traded and privately held corporate clients and has assisted both individuals and corporate clients in responding to DOJ, SEC and other regulatory and criminal inquiries and investigations. Fritz also has defended individuals against federal criminal actions in courts across the country over charges of securities fraud, copyright infringement and theft of trade secrets.
