WASHINGTON, D.C., May 7, 2019 – Calfee, Halter and Griswold LLP announced today expansion of its Washington office with the addition of Washington veterans Roy DeLoach and Jamie Gregory who recently joined Christine Hesse and the Calfee Federal Government Relations and Policy team.

Calfee’s Federal Government Relations and Policy team is comprised of the following professionals:
Charlie Luken, based out of Calfee’s Cincinnati, Ohio office, is a former member of Congress for Ohio’s 1st Congressional District and the longest-serving mayor of Cincinnati who brings years of experience and connections in Ohio and Washington to serve firm clients.
Christine Hesse is the Lead Principal of the Calfee’s Federal Government Relations and Policy team in Washington. She joined Calfee after a long tenure at a premiere national law and public policy firm. Prior to joining the private sector, she worked both on the Senate Banking Committee and the Senate Appropriations Committee. Hesse has spent more than 25 years in federal, state and local public policy.
Roy DeLoach is a lawyer/lobbyist with deep legislative and regulatory experience in the financial services, technology and related industries. He served as the CEO of a national mortgage lending trade group and the general counsel and head of business development for two online real estate listing companies. He also worked as the lead financial services policy staff for several major trade associations. DeLoach has more than 30 years of federal policy-making experience.
Jamie Gregory is a senior Government Affairs professional with more than 25 years of experience at the federal and state levels. He joins Calfee after serving as the lead lobbyist for the National Association of Realtors, the largest trade association in the country, where he was intricately involved with all aspects of advocacy including lobbying, electoral strategy, issue advocacy, grassroots and communications.
John Mino is a member of Calfee’s Government Relations and Legislation group, who began working in Ohio statewide politics in 2002 and has continued to work closely with local and statewide elected officials, as well as members of Congress. He regularly advises clients on government relations strategies and how to improve client relationships with elected and appointed officials within all levels of government.
Leah Pappas Porner works closely with clients at the Ohio state and federal levels to develop effective government relations strategies, and she regularly advises clients on legislative, executive agencies and regulatory matters.
Raymond Tarasuck brings more than 24 years of combined local, statewide, and national political experience, working with and advising officeholders and political candidates at all levels of government and providing counsel to individual, corporate and nonprofit organizations as they address their issues and interests with governmental entities.
