Seeking a mid-level associate attorney for our growing energy & utilities law practice to work in the Indianapolis office. The candidate should have at least 3-6 years of state and/or federal regulatory related experience, including experience with electric and natural gas matters. Experience with renewable energy project development and energy supply contracts is a plus. Experience with regulation under Indiana, Illinois or Ohio law and proceedings before the IURC, ICC, PUCO and/or FERC is a plus. 

The Associate will work on electric and natural gas regulatory matters for a wide mix of clients throughout the Midwest, including transmission, distribution, and generation, as well as regional transmission organizations. The Associate may also work on litigation matters involving state and federal administrative agencies, including compliance, investigations, circuit court, and appellate proceedings. The Associate will interact directly with clients with the goal of taking on responsibility to manage aspects of matters independently. Associates interested in developing their own client book will also be given training and resources.

Candidates must have a J.D., licensed in Indiana, Illinois, or Ohio, or be eligible for Indiana Bar membership. In addition to Indiana licensure, candidates also licensed to practice in Ohio and/or Illinois is a plus.  Prior law firm experience will be given heightened consideration.
