Calfee’s Business Claims practice group concentrates on representing corporations and individuals bringing claims arising out of the operations of business enterprises and agreements. We approach business claims as assets belonging to our clients and plan litigation to enforce the claims accordingly. As a result, we take a strategic approach, ensuring that business claims that we file are consistent with, and advance the general interests of, the businesses we represent.
In appropriate cases, we consider bringing business claims litigation on the basis of alternative fee arrangements which align our interests with those of our clients. In all cases, however, we strive to bring business litigation which is carefully integrated with the interests of our clients, always keeping in mind that litigation exists to serve the interests of businesses, and not vice versa.
