BILL is a workers' compensation and OSHA attorney who also focuses on labor and employment litigation. He has successfully represented employers' interests before the Industrial Commission of Ohio, and through litigation at state trial and appellate levels, up to and including the Supreme Court of Ohio. Bill also advises clients through complex employment issues, such as employee disciplinary practices and drafting employee handbooks.
Bill is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) and is an active member in the CMBA's Workers' Compensation Section and Young Lawyers' Section. He received his J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law and his B.A. from Denison University, where he was also a four-year letter winner in Varsity Baseball.
Prior to joining Calfee in 2007, Bill worked at Gallon, Takacs, Boissoneault & Schaffer Co., LPA, in Toledo, Ohio. He also has served as a mediator in Lucas County Juvenile Court and Small Claims Court, and served as a clerk for Judge Peter Handwork in the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals.
