TOM counsels corporate clients on mergers and acquisitions, tax, securities and capital markets, corporate finance, succession planning and general corporate law. In the health care arena, he advises health care organizations on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. He works with a wide range of health care clients, counseling them in connection with fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance and governance matters.

Tom also works with private equity clients in their acquisition efforts, including providing day-to-day support for their portfolio investments. He works with clients on general corporate matters, capital raising/financing transactions and executive compensation matters.

Tom is a member of MetroHealth Foundation’s Vision Advocacy Council (Pediatrics), is on the board of directors of the Cleveland Baseball Federation and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2003 and earned his B.A. from Miami University in 1999. Tom joined Calfee in 2003 and became a partner in 2012.
