SCOTT practices general corporate law and is chair of the firm’s Privately-held Businesses group.  He counsels a diverse range of clients, from start up ventures to publicly-held corporations, on mergers and acquisitions; entity structuring and reorganization; marketing and distribution arrangements; joint ventures; and executive compensation.  He also facilitates commercial loan transactions and venture capital investments.

Scott serves on the advisory boards of several privately-owned corporations and is a frequent guest lecturer at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management.

Scott began his tenure with Calfee in 1977, becoming a partner in 1984.  He has served on the firm’s executive committee since 2002.
