STEPHEN’S practice focuses on general corporate and tax law.  He has acquired 15+ years of experience counseling closely-held clients on a wide variety of legal issues.

Stephen advises clients on how to form and structure privately-held business enterprises and joint ventures,  including corporate, LLC and partnership entities.  He has worked extensively in the acquisitions and dispositions of business enterprises.  He also has significant experience in federal and state tax planning and dispute resolution, corporate succession planning and executive compensation arrangements.

Stephen serves on the boards of directors for several privately-held corporations and is a member of the American, Ohio and Cleveland Bar Associations.

Stephen joined Calfee in 1976, becoming a partner in 1983.  He serves on  the firm’s executive committee and as chairman of the firm’s finance committee.
