WALT focuses on commercial and municipal financing and real estate law.  He serves as counsel to lenders, underwriters and public issuers, and as bond counsel in a variety of government assisted, conventional and capital market debt financings. His real estate practice centers around property acquisition, financing and development.

Walt is a member of the American Bar Association’s Business Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections.  He is a member of the Ohio and Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, as well as the National Association of Bond Lawyers.  Walt is president of the Greater Cleveland Council, Boy Scouts of America and serves on its executive board.

Walt served as U.S. Army field artillery officer prior to beginning his legal career at Calfee in 1974. He became a partner with the firm in 1981.
