ERIC is a member of the Litigation, Securities Litigation, and White Collar Defense and Investigations groups at Calfee, and is active in Calfee’s Health Care and Life Sciences group. He assists publicly-traded and privately-held companies and government entities in a wide range of business disputes, government and internal investigations, and criminal and civil regulatory proceedings.
Eric regularly represents financial institutions and broker/dealer organizations, and their employees and registered representatives, in civil proceedings and FINRA arbitrations. He has also represented officers and directors in shareholder derivative actions and assisted clients in responding to SEC investigations focused on allegations of securities fraud.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Cleveland chapter of the American Jewish Committee, and is the Chair of the New Partners Group at Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center. He also volunteers his time tutoring and mentoring students in Cleveland Municipal Schools through the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s 3R’s Program.
Eric co-authored “On the Road to IFRS in the United States” (2009) and “The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act: Pitfalls in Doing Business Overseas” (2008). He received his J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from Miami University.
