DAN’s real estate practice focuses on a wide range of commercial real estate matters including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, development, construction and financing of commercial and industrial real estate. He coordinates the real estate aspects of corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and conducts real estate and financing due diligence.

Dan represents clients engaged in the mining, oil and gas and construction industries. He frequently negotiates mining leases and purchase agreements to acquire mineral rights, and development and construction agreements (including AIA forms).

Dan also represents both landlords and tenants in industrial, office and retail lease transactions. He has successfully negotiated favorable leases for clients facing difficult and dynamic market conditions.

Dan has substantial experience representing clients in commercial finance transactions, loan workouts, foreclosures and collection matters including perfecting and enforcing lien rights.

Dan is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (Real Property Section).

Dan joined Calfee in 2007.
